Description

Recorded on Sky Blue, "Cerulean Skies" was commissioned by the New Crowned Hope Festival, Vienna, Austria, and received its world premiere at the Wiener Konzerthaus on December 1, 2006. It's an extensive piece meant to put the listener's imagination inside of bird migration. With this offer, you'll receive a downloadable MP3 alternate mix of this piece minus drums to help you better hear the orchestration as you study the score. I also included my program notes from the premiere at the New Crowned Hope Festival in Vienna as well as PDF's of some early sketches for this work. I've also made a streamed video where I go through the whole work and explain my thought process. Hopefully all of this will help those who are interested to really get inside of this piece.
