Recorded on Concert in the Garden, this piece was commissioned by Jazz at Lincoln Center. Starting with my piece "El Viento," and then "Journey Home," my music became more and more influenced by flamenco after I heard Paco de Lucia's group perform in New York in the 1990's. It all culminated when I wrote this piece.
Rather large portions of this score are also available with all three levels of composer participation - Composer, Composer ‘Plus’ and Composer ‘Plus Plus’. If you plan to become a composer participant, you might want to see what's included in those offers first.
I've included a variety of interviews through audio for you to get insight into this music from the perspective of the performers. You'll also receive a streamed video of me talking about the epic journey of writing this composition.
